 In addition to support and services offered within the department, students have access a variety of resources across the University. Students are encouraged to explore all the offerings and take advantage of the services available.

##  Graduate School of Arts and Sciences

 The [Office of Student Life](https://gsas.harvard.edu/student-life/resources) at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences offers several resources to assist students throughout their program. Learn more about [GSAS policies](https://gsas.harvard.edu/policies) and resources available for academic support, health and wellness and cultural and recreation. The [GSAS Student Center](https://gsas.harvard.edu/student-life/gsas-student-center) offers social, intellectual, and recreational activities designed to help GSAS students make connections outside of the classroom, lab, or library. Get involved with the [Graduate Student Council](https://gsas.harvard.edu/student-life/harvard-resources/graduate-student-council) or just take advantage of a wide range of activities geared toward students. The [Harvard International Office](http://www.hio.harvard.edu/) offers resources for students coming from abroad. Information on visa requirements, SSN, Curricular and Optimal Training programs and a wide variety of other resources can be found on their page.

##  Registrar's Office

 The [FAS Registrar’s Office](https://registrar.fas.harvard.edu/about-us) provides a variety of services to students including tracking students’ registration status, managing the course enrollment process ([Registration](https://registrar.fas.harvard.edu/registration-enrollment-degrees/course-registration), Add/Drop,[ Cross-Registration](https://registrar.fas.harvard.edu/cross-registration)), setting the [Academic Calendar](https://registrar.fas.harvard.edu/ten-year-calendar) and billing tuition and fees. Transcripts, certificates of enrollment, and degree verifications are processed by the Registrar’s Office for all FAS students. The Registrar's Office also oversees the [PhD Dissertation Submission](http://www.registrar.fas.harvard.edu/registration-enrollment-degrees/graduation-diplomas/phd-dissertation-submission) and [Graduation/Diplomas](https://registrar.fas.harvard.edu/registration-enrollment-degrees/graduation-diplomas).

##  Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

 Self-care is crucial during the PhD program and [Harvard Health Services](https://camhs.huhs.harvard.edu/) offers a no-cost support service that works collaboratively across the University to support registered students who are experiencing some measure of distress in their lives. Aside from short-term counseling, CAMHS offers groups/workshops, peer education, wellness sessions, stress management and much more.

##  Library.Harvard

 Harvard has over 70 libraries that together comprise the [Harvard Library](https://library.harvard.edu/), the largest academic research collection in the world and that offers unparalleled print and digital collections. GSAS students have direct access to all of the amazing resources, plus databases and e-resources that help advance research.
