Marc Melitz's broad research interests are in international trade and investment. More specifically, he studies producer-level responses to globalization and their implications for aggregate trade and investment patterns. He is a fellow of the Econometric Society and is affiliated with the [National Bureau of Economic Research](http://www.nber.org/)(NBER), the [Centre for Economic Policy Research](http://www.cepr.org/) (CEPR), [CESifo](http://www.cesifo-group.de/), and the [Kiel Institute for the World Economy](http://www.ifw-kiel.de/). He is foreign editor for the *Review of Economic Studies* and associate editor for the *American Economic Journal: Microeconomics*. His research has been funded by the Sloan Foundation and by the NSF.
