James Stock
James H. Stock is also a member of the faculty at Harvard Kennedy School. His research areas are macroeconomic forecasting, monetary policy, and econometric methods for the analysis of economic time series data. He received a master’s degree in statistics and a doctoral degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. His research areas are macroeconomic forecasting, monetary policy, and econometric methods for the analysis of economic time series data. His latest work includes an examination of the recent evolution of the U.S. business cycle and the impact of changes in monetary policy on that evolution. He is a coauthor of a leading introductory econometrics textbook and is a member of various professional boards, including the Academic Advisory Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
