#  Le Cercle des économistes in France Names Professor Emmanuel Farhi as Recipient of 'The Best Young Economist' Award 2013

 *[Le Cercle des économistes](http://www.lecercledeseconomistes.asso.fr/qui-sommes-nous?lang=fr)* in France announced on May 27 that Harvard Economics Professor [Emmanuel Farhi](http://scholar.harvard.edu/farhi) had been named as recipient of 'The Best Young Economist' award for 2013.

 Professor Farhi was chosen for the award from a group of thirty-three candidates among the best research centers in economics in France and abroad. The recipient of the award was chosen by a jury chaired by Jean-Michel Charpin.

 Professor Farhi's research focuses on the analysis of fiscal and monetary policy.
