 

#  Oleg Itskhoki Awarded Slusky Family Professorship of Economics and Markets Fund

The Harvard University Department of Economics is pleased to announce that **Oleg Itskhoki** has been named the **Slusky Family Professor of Economics and Markets Fund**.

Itskhoki, an applied theorist working in the fields of macroeconomics and international economics, joined the department in 2024. His research focuses on how global markets function and how economic policy shapes international trade and financial flows.

In 2022, Itskhoki was awarded the prestigious **John Bates Clark Medal**, which is presented annually to an economist under the age of forty who is judged to have made the most significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge.

The Slusky Family Professorship was established by **Alexander Slusky** ’89, M.B.A. ’92, and **Danna Slusky** to support an eminent scholar of economics whose work focuses on real-world applications.

The appointment recognizes Itskhoki’s influential research and leadership in advancing the study of macroeconomics and international economics.
