On this page, you can download, by chapter, PDF files containing large font transparencies. These transparencies include every equation in the text of the book. Also included at the back of each chapter are the charts and tables (figures are not yet available, but should be shortly). The files are fairly long, averaging roughly 50 pages per chapter. However, you should be able to download them fairly quickly. (The chapter PDF files range between roughly 100,00 and 185,000 bytes)
In using the transparencies, we recommend having students bring their copies of the book to class (so that you do not have to hand out copies of the entire PDF file). If you have access to facilities for electronic presentations, that is the ideal way to use these files. (Most US universities are moving rapidly to encourage electronic presentations, so you should be able to get ahold of a LED projector even if your classroom is not wired). To use the files electronically, download them onto you portable, and display them using Acrobat Reader 3.0 or higher (it is available free at Adobe's website). Though Acrobat reader does not have the flexibility of, say, PowerPoint, it still has a search feature which lets you easily move across the chapter.
